1. Background

Iron Cavalry traces its origins back to the launch of the Tank 300.

Following the model’s release, GWM collaborated with TopFIRE to create a limited-run co-developed vehicle — the Iron Cavalry edition. Designed and engineered by TopFIRE, this officially sanctioned Limited Edition Tank 300 drew inspiration from the armour, discipline and spirit of the knight.

The response was immediate. The Iron Cavalry edition sold out shortly after release.

Crucially, this was not a dealer-installed or aftermarket conversion. Every component was integrated at the factory level — meaning each Iron Cavalry vehicle rolled off the production line in its final form, exactly as intended by the original design brief.

2. What’s Included

The Iron Cavalry Body Kit is a complete exterior package, designed to deliver a cohesive factory-level appearance and functional integration.

The Iron Cavalry Body Kit is engineered to suit Australian-spec and international Tank 300 models, and is compatible with both petrol and diesel variants.

Please note: the Iron Cavalry Body Kit is designed to be installed as a complete system. Individual components are not available for separate purchase, as each element is engineered to function as part of a unified design.

3. Behind the Design

A Wider, More Commanding Stance

The Iron Cavalry build sits noticeably wider than the standard Tank 300, giving the vehicle a stronger and more commanding stance.

This is achieved through the widened flare design, which increases both visual presence and physical clearance. With a two-inch suspension lift, the platform supports up to 35-inch tyres, while remaining compliant with Australian regulations.

The wider flares allow for a broader track and more aggressive wheel setups — including negative-offset wheels — without tyres protruding beyond the body line. The flare profile itself draws inspiration from medieval knight shoulder armour, reinforcing width and strength through layered, armoured surfaces.

A Purposeful Front and Rear

Up front, a compact stamped front bar forms a tightly packaged and deliberate nose. Combined with the vintage black grille and matching bonnet, the front end takes on a heavier, more grounded character — restrained rather than aggressive.

This same design language continues at the rear. A more compact, retro-inspired rear treatment gives the vehicle a solid, balanced presence, ensuring the Iron Cavalry build reads as a single, cohesive form from front to back.

Balanced Roof Design

The TopFIRE roof rack is designed to retain full sunroof functionality, while its rear-shifted placement helps visually balance the vehicle’s proportions. The result is a roof system that feels integrated and composed, adding capability without creating a top-heavy appearance.
