Slimline Rackless Rooftop Tent for GWM Tank 300
Low-Profile Touring Comfort, Built Specifically for the Tank 300
Transform your GWM Tank 300 into a practical touring and camping setup without adding a traditional roof rack.
The 4WH Slimline Rackless Rooftop Tent mounts directly to the Tank 300 using a vehicle-specific installation system. Its slim, integrated design keeps the vehicle looking clean while reducing the additional height, weight and wind resistance normally associated with a separate roof platform and rooftop tent combination.
Whether you are heading away for a weekend or setting up for an extended touring trip, it provides a fast and comfortable sleeping solution wherever your Tank 300 can take you.
Rackless, Vehicle-Specific Installation
Unlike conventional rooftop tents that require a separate platform or roof rack, this system has been designed specifically for the GWM Tank 300.
The rackless installation provides:
- A clean, integrated appearance
- Less unnecessary weight on the roof
- Reduced overall vehicle height
- Fewer components and mounting points
- Less wind noise than many full roof-rack systems
Once installed, the closed tent adds approximately 60 mm to the vehicle’s original roof height, helping retain practical clearance for garages and many urban carparks.
Durable Construction for Australian Touring
The slimline triangle-opening design combines a strong composite-fibre outer shell with a durable 280 g coated cotton tent body.
It is designed to provide protection against changing weather conditions, with a stated dynamic waterproof rating of 10,000 mm, static waterproof rating of 1,500 mm, and Level 6 wind resistance.
The low-profile shell also helps minimise unnecessary aerodynamic drag and keeps the Tank 300 from looking excessively top-heavy.
Comfortable Space for Two Adults
When opened, the tent provides a spacious sleeping area suitable for two adults, including taller occupants who may find compact rooftop tents restrictive.
Inside is a 2200 × 1280 × 30 mm memory-foam mattress, providing a comfortable sleeping surface without requiring a separate camp mattress. The internal space also allows light bedding or sleeping bags to remain inside when the tent is packed down.
Ventilation and Sunroof Access
Multiple windows and ventilation openings promote airflow while integrated insect screens help keep bugs out.
A dedicated access point aligns with the Tank 300 sunroof, allowing movement between the vehicle interior and the rooftop tent without needing to climb down outside. This is particularly useful during wet weather or when camping in confined areas.
Practical Touring Features
The tent includes a range of useful features for real-world camping and touring:
- Extendable access ladder
- Internal storage pockets and organisers
- Multiple ventilation openings
- Integrated insect screens
- Tank 300 sunroof access
- Built-in awning mounting bracket
- Memory-foam mattress
- Low-profile composite shell
The integrated awning bracket also provides the option to add sheltered outdoor space for longer stays, cooking or protection from rain and sun.
